After living in her Vancouver home for over 30 years, this homeowner decided it was time for an update. We took this house down to the studs and lifted it, completely re-working the floor plan. The client is a passionate cook and decided she wanted two kitchens; this will allow her to age in place by providing space for a caretaker to live on one level and the homeowner on another. This bungalow house needed more character, so we honoured its heritage by adding leaded glass details, a tongue and groove ceiling with faux beams and other interesting details throughout. Our scope for this project ranged from initial concept, through to architectural revisions, all the way to art installation. To see the before images, please visit our transformations page.
